I realize that evryone who lives will someday die and die alone

Falling through Darkness

Carolyn MacCullough’s recently released Falling through Darkness will have you craving for more after entering Ginny’s world of chaos and denial. The seventeen-year-old’s life changed when she met Aidan, the irresistible new guy at school. Everything almost seemed surreal as she “drifted through her classes with a smile” each day; until she is a potential victim in Aidan’s suicide.

But she keeps this secret inside, forcing herself into a deep depression. Then she meets Caleb, an older man who moves in next door. As soon as Ginny’s curiosity leads her to his doorstep, their lives merge.

Carolyn MacCullough shows the transformation and after effects of a “good girl gone bad.” Ginny’s life seems to be going through an emotional roller coaster, and as the plot twists around, so do your expectations.

Falling through Darkness presents the reader such colorfully created characters that one is compelled to keep reading. The reader becomes acquainted with Ginny’s indifferent attitude and her mental apathy;  falls in love with Caleb’s distraught nature, his knowledge and mysterious life: follow Aidan, learn to love and hate him as he manipulates Ginny’s character to fit into his own destructed life. Other cast members include the teen’s: overcautious father, “best friend,” and distant mother.

Carolyn MacCullough vividly portrays the life of a genuinely depressed teenager in her first novel. This much recommended drama exposes teen bookworms to a blooming author with great potential.

Why is it that everyone who leads a life full of pain says that when they're smiling it's fake. Can't people who hurt smile. I hurt, i smile at times while i am hurting. if you are goin through a break up, one that puts you into a deeeeep depression. does that mean that not even once can someone make you laugh, not even one genuinely happy, hard laugh?

watching a baby sleep can change your whole perspective. As he clenches his hand around your whole finger you wonder what he'd do if you weren't with him at this moment, to keep him company, making you feel like the most important person. You notice how beautiful he looks as he lays there doing nothing and wonder how something so wonderful can exist. But this here is proof, what more do you need?
you vow to yourself that you'll have one of your own, make it your goal in life to love him.
falling in love with the scent of  his skin you think about those millions of people giving into abortion, thinking it is their right to end a person's life, knowing that if their parents had done the same, they wouldnt be here to begin with. When did God give US the authority to send a precious human out of this world, a person who could help us in becoming better; instead they see them as an extra mouth to feed.
" It's a woman's choice...". And it's still a woman's choic days later when she is traumatized, or months, when she returns for the next slaughter.Pieces of a body lay around in that room as if they are toys just waiting to be picked up.
A life made is a life destroyed when "it's a woman's choice."
You look at the baby and wonder why it feels your life has changed.

Napolean Dynamite
not your typical nerd

napoleon dynamite was a summer hit that centers around the main character napolean (jon heder), an awkward teen who is oblivious to the fact that he's a loser.
He befriends pedro (efren ramirez), another social outcast, who decides to run for class president.
Among the other list of characters in the film are deb (tina majorino), the naive and innocent friend of napoleon, and possible love interest. ucle rico (jon gries), napoleon's cheesy and crude uncle who comes to live with them. Also napoleon's nerd-turned-hip brother kip, and lafawnduh, kip's cyber love.
napoleon dynamite offers great laughs, complete with napoleon's "sweet!" dance moves, and pedro's darng attempt to win class president
Napoleon dynamite is definitely not your typical nerd becomes high school superstar movie, and in the end he makes being a nerd actually look cool.
This is a great movie, if you're lookind for a nice clean laugh, but if you're expecting american pie related humor don't bother to watch this movie.
Although the movie is left without a real plot, this is something that makes it unique and original.
The movie did fall short of expectations and most of the funny parts are in the trailer, so all in all i give it a b+.                ---by stephanie esqueda & me
